Alexis’s condition makes abrupt movement painful. For that reason, walkways need to be seamless. One of the most challenging paths for Alexis was from the family’s vehicle to the house. She also had trouble entering, getting around her house, and bathing. She and her family needed modifications that would give Alexis more independence and make mobility safe and accessible.
